   On 13 February 2025, Prof. S. P. Singh Baghel, Minister of State for Panchayati Raj and Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying, will release the Devolution Index Report in New Delhi. This index aims to strengthen cooperative federalism and local governance by empowering Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs).

   26-year-old South African cricketer Matthew Breetzke made history in the triangular series in Pakistan by scoring 150 runs against New Zealand on his ODI debut. He became the first player to achieve this feat, scoring 150 runs off 148 balls with 11 fours and 5 sixes.

   On 10 February 2025, Dr. Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of Science and Technology, launched India’s first indigenous automated biomedical waste treatment plant, "Srijanam," at AIIMS, New Delhi. It was developed by CSIR-NIIST.

   The first Olympic Esports Games will be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in 2027. The International Olympic Committee (IOC) announced this on 11 February 2025, as part of a 12-year agreement with Saudi Arabia. The IOC is partnering with the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee (SOPC) for this event.
