Donald Trump is officially sworn in as the 47th President of the United States on January 20, 2025, marking his return to the White House after a gap of four years. Gyanendra Pratap Singh has been appointed as the Director General of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) with effect from January 19, 2025. This appointment was issued by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet on January 18, 2025. Singh, a senior 1991 batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer and part of the Assam-Meghalaya cadre. He earlier served as Director General of Police (DGP) in Assam.
