The Delhi Police launched a helpline number +91-8750871111 on 6 February 2014 for foreign nationals in distress. The number will become active from 7 February 2014.
Joint Commissioner of New Delhi range, Mukesh Kumar Meena will monitor the phone calls and a set of officers have been assigned to attend the phone calls. Besides, Meena is appointed as the nodal officer for handling crimes against foreign nationals.
Some important guidelines for foreign nationals by the Delhi Police are as follows
• Kindly contact on counter May I help you available in Arrival Hall at airport for help and guidance
• If any foreigner face any harassment or law and order problem in Delhi, they can dial 100 numbers from the nearest telephone for police assistance
