Harlequin Enterprises, publishers of the Mills & Boon romance fiction series entered the market of language books. Harlequin Enterprises released its translations of two best-selling international books in Tamil as well as Hindi. The books will also be released in Malayalam and Marathi.
The Hindi and Tamil books are available at all the news-stands and book stores. The Hindi titles are available at the price of 75 Rupees while the Tamil books are available at a price of 25 Rupees with an introductory price of 10 Rupees. These books will be available in bi-monthly magazine form which will also cover other items such as horoscopes and surveys.
Mills & Boon books are available all across the world in 31 languages. Harlequin Enterprises is a Canada based company that started off the India operations in the year 2008. It has published six English books by Indian authors already, which will be translated in regional languages as well.
Harlequin Enterprises also has the plan of exporting Tamil titles to Sri Lanka, Singapore and Malaysia. Malayalam books might be exported to Dubai.
