Hockey India on 25 July 2015 appointed Roelant Oltmans of the Netherlands as coach of men’s national team. The official announcement was made by the Hockey India President Narinder Batra after meeting with the Director of the Sports Authority of India (SAI).
He already has been associated with the Indian hockey team as High Performance Director and will replace Dutchman Paul van Ass, who was unceremoniously sacked by Hockey India.
The 69-year old Dutchman will be at the helm of affairs at least till 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
He was the interim Head Coach of team after Terry Walsh resigned in 2014.
