Mango, the King of the Fruits has made its power registered globally. With its versatility of enhancing the taste, no matter where it is being used, it's tanginess and sweet flavour have won hearts worldwide. For many Indians, the sweet and tangy tastes of mangoes are a symbol of summer.
The list was recently posted on social media with the statement, "These are the best dishes with mango! What is your favourite?" by TasteAtlas, an online food and travel guide that offers critical reviews and research papers about regional foods from all around the world. Desi internet users responded well to the list, expressing joy at finding two mango-based Indian dishes included. The sweet and delicious Aamras secured the first place in the list, while the tangy mango chutney of Maharashtra came in fifth.

What is Aamras?
Aamras, a delicacy that is highly appreciated in Western India, especially states like Gujarat and Maharashtra, is a moderately sweetened mango pulp dish that is typically served with puris.
According to Taste Atlas Aamras is an easy-to-make dish, with a versatile nature of ingredients involved. “It is sometimes merely elevated with the addition of saffron, dry ginger, or cardamom, but its simplicity allows room for alteration and the creation of numerous varieties,” said the guide.
What is Mango Chutney?
Ripe mangos are the main component in mango chutney, which comes in at number five on the list of delicacies. A variety of spices, including ginger, garlic, red chili peppers, cumin, coriander, turmeric, cloves, cinnamon, cardamom, brown sugar, and vinegar, are combined to create this tasty sauce. "There's quite a few mango chutney variations made with different additional ingredients," says Taste Atlas, highlighting the dish's versatility.
Mango chutney's was also included in Taste Atlas's list of the "50 Best Dips in the World."

Desi internet users were ecstatic to see Aamras and other Indian delicacies included on the list. "Bow down for the king, Aamras," a user commented. Someone else said, "Mango Dal is bae." "Amazing! I'm really glad to see India on the list," a person wrote. Some users were dissatisfied with the list with no representation of their country. "No dishes from Turkey?" one person commented. "No dishes from Greece? Interesting," a person commented.
