Indo-US Global Health Summit 2013 held at Kochi, Kerala

Indo-US Global Health Summit 2013 (GHS), organized by the Association of American Physicians of Indian Origin (AAPI) in collaboration with the Government of India was held in Kochi, India from 1 to 3 January, 2013.

Highlights of the Health Summit, Kochi, Kerala

•The Conference was done in partnership with the ministry of overseas Indian affairs along with collaboration with over 10 associations from all over the world.

• Launched website in partnership with ministry of health to connect volunteers globally with the projects in India.
• Open new AAPI charitable clinic in Kochi, India.

• 380 international delegates and 1000 Indian delegates participated in this global summit.

• The GHS 2013 included high priority areas such as Cardiology, Maternal & Child Health, Diabetes, Oncology, Surgery, Mental Health, HIT, Allergy, Immunology & Lung Health.

This International health care summit is a progressive transformation from the first Indo-US Healthcare Summit launched by AAPI USA in 2007. Since then, AAPI has organized six Indo - US/Global Healthcare Submits and developed strategic alliances with various organizations.
