Indo-US Global Health Summit 2013 (GHS), organized by the Association of American Physicians of Indian Origin (AAPI) in collaboration with the Government of India was held in Kochi, India from 1 to 3 January, 2013.
Highlights of the Health Summit, Kochi, Kerala
•The Conference was done in partnership with the ministry of overseas Indian affairs along with collaboration with over 10 associations from all over the world.
• Launched website in partnership with ministry of health to connect volunteers globally with the projects in India.
• Open new AAPI charitable clinic in Kochi, India.
• 380 international delegates and 1000 Indian delegates participated in this global summit.
• The GHS 2013 included high priority areas such as Cardiology, Maternal & Child Health, Diabetes, Oncology, Surgery, Mental Health, HIT, Allergy, Immunology & Lung Health.
About Indo-US Global Health Summit
This International health care summit is a progressive transformation from the first Indo-US Healthcare Summit launched by AAPI USA in 2007. Since then, AAPI has organized six Indo - US/Global Healthcare Submits and developed strategic alliances with various organizations.
The American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin (AAPI) was formed to address a need for cohesive action on the part of physicians, dentists and other medical scientists, of Indian origin, residing in the United States of America. The AAPI was also formed to maintain the identity of this group of people, to provide a forum for scientific, educational, cultural, and charitable interaction among its members.
