Kaiserganj Election Result 2024: Karan Bhushan Singh, the younger son of former Wrestling Federation of India chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, won the Kaiserganj Lok Sabha constituency in Uttar Pradesh. He secured 5,71,263 votes, defeating his rival Bhagat Ram of the Samajwadi Party by a margin of over 1.4 lakh votes. Bhagat Ram received 4,22,420 votes.
The Bharatiya Janata Party has nominated Karan Bhushan Singh as their candidate for the Kaiserganj seat in Uttar Pradesh. The seat has been represented by Brij Bhushan Singh since 2009. However, due to allegations of sexual harassment by several women wrestlers, the BJP decided to give the ticket to his youngest son.
In February 2024, Karan was appointed President of the Uttar Pradesh Wrestling Association, a position his father held for 12 years. Prior to this, he served as Vice President of the association for eight years.

Born on December 13, 1990, Karan Bhushan Singh is the younger son of Brij Bhushan. He is a national-level double trap shooter and serves as the president of the Uttar Pradesh Wrestling Association. Additionally, he holds the position of chief at the Cooperative Village Development Bank in Gonda. In February 2024, the saffron camp appointed Karan Bhushan Singh as its candidate for the Kaiserganj Lok Sabha constituency in Uttar Pradesh.
This seat has been a battleground between the Samajwadi Party (SP) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for the last three decades. Initially, the Samajwadi Party dominated the seat from 1996 to 2009. In 2009, Brij Bhushan Singh emerged victorious from this constituency under the banner of the Samajwadi Party. However, he later switched to the BJP and won the 2014 and 2019 elections.
Kaiserganj is dominated by the Brahmin community, which comprises about 30% of its population. The constituency also includes 20% Thakurs, 10% Kurmis (OBC), 10% Dalits, and 15% Muslims.

The Kaiserganj Lok Sabha Constituency in Uttar Pradesh witnessed a voter turnout of 55.47%, marking a notable increase compared to the 2019 general elections, which recorded a turnout of 54.34%. The seat includes both urban and rural populations of five Vidhan Sabha segments: Payagpur, Kaiserganj, Colonelganj, Tarabganj, and Katra Bazar. Brij Bhushan Singh represented this constituency since 2009.

Karan Bhushan Singh Political Career
Karan Bhushan Singh has been involved in politics from a young age, actively participating in campaigns for family members. He campaigned for his brother Prateek Bhushan Singh during the 2022 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. In February 2024, he was appointed as a candidate for the Kaiserganj Lok Sabha seat. Additionally, he is the president of the Uttar Pradesh Wrestling Association and also Chairman of Cooperative Bank, Nawabganj, Gonda district.
