Kingfisher Airlines, the struggling airlines company of Vijay Mallya on 9 October 2012 was asked to stop booking tickets with immediate effect by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). The decision came in effect against the delay of response from the Airlines management on issues of safety and certifications of air operations.
Following the reports that the airline was planning to resume its operation from 13 October 2012, the DGCA asked the airlines to stop booking the tickets as until the airlines doesn’t get the clearance from DGCA it can’t resume its normal operations.
