The French apparel company Lacoste that bear Crocodile symbol was bought by Swiss family-held group Maus Freres on 15 November 2012 in a deal which was valued at 1 billion euros ($1.3 billion).
The deal came after Lacoste family conflict over management. The deal basically aims to ensure the longevity of the Lacoste brand.
Lacoste was founded in 1933 by French tennis champion Rene Lacoste, the brand have its logo The Crocodile from the nickname of Tennis champion Rene Lacoste which he earned for his tenacity on the court.
Maus Freres already held 35 percent of Lacoste capital through its subsidiary Devanlay. By now, it is decided that Lacoste family shareholders is going to sell the totality of their shares to Maus Freres.

Maus Freres is a Switzerland based holding company was founded in 1902 by wholesalers Ernest and Henri Maus and retailer Leon Nordmann and it primarily owns department stores and home-improvement chains in Switzerland.
