Adi Nriitya, or India's indigenous dances was held in the auditorium of the Quai Branly Museum on 16 April 2010. This marked the opening a year-long Indian art and culture festival, Namaste France in Paris and the French provinces. The festival was inaugurated by Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) chairman and former Union Minister, Karan Singh. The dance troupe offered varied traditional dances of the Kalbelias, the Bhils, the Gonds, the Rathwas or the Manipuri Maos in its 90-minute presentation.
