Nigeria defeated Mali to win FIFA U-17 World Cup title

Belgium ended up in the third place and Mexico stood on the fourth place in the tournament.

Nigeria on 8 November 2015 defeated Mali by 2-0 in the final of the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup, which was held in the Sausalito Stadium in Vina del Mar, Chile.

With the victory comes Nigerian’s fifth crown in the U-17 category. The title also means that the country’s under-17 football team, the Golden Eaglets, successfully defended the title they won in 2013 in the UAE.

Belgium ended up in the third place and Mexico stood on the fourth place in the tournament.

Nigeria’s Kelechi Nwakali, Victor Osimhen and Mali’s Aly Malle were awarded with the ADIDAS Golden Ball award.

Mali’s Samuel Diarra won the Golden Glove award. Ecuador was awarded with the Fair Play Award.
