Finnish handset maker Nokia on 22 August 2013 launched Lumia 925 and 625 in India. The new product is considered biggest smartphone to date. It targets people in the age group of 18-25 years.
Lumia 625 is priced at 19999 rupees, while Lumia 925 is available in the market for 33499 rupees. Lumia 625 is a smart and affordable device which has the advance Lumia features and a large screen where users can have entertainment. Lumia 625 features a 4.7 inch LCD screen, which is viewable in direct sunlight and offers a super sensitive touch technology for operation with gloves or nails. The Lumia 925 was launched in May 2013 in London. It is lighter than the earlier model and has a metal design. Nokia is facing tough competition from iOS and Android- based phones in smartphone category.
Nokia was leading the Indian market for over a decade. However, it was replaced by Korean handset maker Samsung as per the latest Voice&Data Survey. Samsung became the market leader with a 31.5 percent market share while Nokia slipped to number two in the survey with a 27.2 percent market share.
