Radical camera with a facility to adjust the focus later will be available from October 2012 in the markets of Canada, Australia, Hong-Kong, Singapore and United States. The camera with its unique feature to adjust the focus after clicking the picture is termed as Lytro and is a creation of Ren Ng.
The telescope shaped camera is based on Light Field Technology and the implemented technology allows the focal point of the digital image to be changed even after taking the picture. Lytro calls this technology as Shoot Now, Focus Later. The powerful sensors attached to this camera allows it to capture more light than that of the conventional camera as a result of which focus of the taken photograph can be shifted to the desirable location.
It was when; Ren Ng was studying his doctorate in computer science at Stanford University in California, he started up with his work on this camera.
