Rescue Operation Megh Rahat completed
Indian Army called off the rescue Operation Megh Rahat in J&K after two weeks. The operation was launched to rescue affected people of floods.

Indian Army on 19 September 2014 completed rescue Operation Megh Rahat in Jammu and Kashmir. The operation Megh Rahat that lasted for about two weeks was launched by Indian Army to protect people of the state from effects of flood.
The relief and medical assistance which were launched for the flood affected people will continue in the state. On the other hand, the restoration work of the road network has been achieved but the troops and other officials are trying to improve the traffic ability of the damaged roads.
The activities of Operation Sadbhavna will continue and the troops of Northern Command will remain there to provide support in close synergy with the civil administration and the police.
