Rural Development Ministry Awarded Project to MEIL

Infrastructure company Megha Engineering and Infrastructure Ltd (MEIL) announced in December 2010 bagged a Rs 120-crore project from the Union Ministry of Rural Development. The project involves provision of urban amenities in rural areas (PURAs). The 120 crore will be spent in two Gram Panchayats namely, Kondapalli and Ibrahimpatnam in Krishna district within three years.


The Union Ministry of Rural Development has come out with a mission to provide urban facilities in rural areas across the country. The amenities proposed in this scheme are- water and sewerage, maintaining village streets, solid waste management and skill development.
