Sanjiv Gupta was on 17 August 2017 appointed as the President and Managing Director (MD) of General Motors India. He will join the office on 1 September 2017. Prior to this appointment, Gupta was serving as the Chief Financial Officer.
Gupta will succeed Kaher Kazem, who has been appointed as the President and CEO of General Motors Korea.
Gupta will also continue to serve as Chief Financial Officer.
About Sanjiv Gupta
• Gupta joined General Motors in 2003 and since then, he has served various critical roles in VSSM, Auto Financing, Business Planning, Corporate Finance and Financial Planning in the US and Canada.
• In February 2012, he was promoted as the Director of North America Financial Planning and Analysis of General Motors.
• In September 2013, he was appointed as Director of US Sales Operations Finance.
• In May 2016, Gupta joined General Motors India as the Chief Financial Officer.
