State Bank of India launched its channel on Youtube on 24 January 2014. SBI aim to strengthened its social media presence with this launch.
YouTube is a popular video sharing website. YouTube is a platform that will enable SBI to connect with their customers.
The YouTube channel will initially have information about the bank's products and services and its legacy to begin with and will gradually include philanthropic initiatives. The You Tube channel will help the bank to connect with the young and technologically savvy customers.
Soon SBI will be launching its micro blogging site on Twitter.
About State Bank of India (SBI)
SBI is one of the oldest financial institutions in the country with an over 200 years of history. It is the largest lender bank of India. SBI controls around a fourth of the deposits in the country. It has over 15,000 branches and over 43,000 ATMs.
Its current Chairman is Arundhatti Bhattacharya. She is the first woman to head the 206 year old State Bank of India.
