Swiss top seed Stan Wawrinka on 27 May 2017 successfully defended his Geneva Open Men’s Singles title with a 4-6, 6-3, 6-3 victory over Germany's Mischa Zverev.
The 2017 Geneva Open title is the 16th title of Wawrinka's career.

• Stan Wawrinka is a Swiss professional tennis player.
• He has reached three Grand Slam singles finals in his career, winning all three: the 2014 Australian Open, t he 2015 French Open and the 2016 US Open.
• Just prior to the 2014 French Open, he requested and the ATP granted a formal change in his nane from Stanislas Wawrinka to Stan Wawrinka.

• The Geneva Open is an ATP Tour (formerly Grand Prix) affiliated tennis tournament that was held annually from 1980 to 1991 in Geneva, Switzerland on clay courts.
