In the 50th World shooting championship in Munich on 8 August 2010 Tejaswini Sawant recently became the first Indian woman shooter to win World Championship. She won the 50m rifle prone event with a World record 597. Tejaswini joined Abhinav Bindra and Manavjit Singh Sandhu in the list of the Indian shooters who won a World championship gold.
