BCCI Disputes: SC appoints PS Narasimha as mediator to resolve disputes of cricket administration within BCCI
The Supreme Court on March 14, 2019 appointed senior advocate PS Narasimha as mediator for resolving various disputes related to cricket administration within the cricket body, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
The apex court bench also asked Narasimha to look into the dispute relating to release of funds by the court appointed Committee of Administrators (CoA) to various states cricket associations. Narasimha will also address grievances of state cricket associations regarding the non-release of funds and make recommendations to CoA.

Giving setback to India, China for the fourth time blocked a bid in the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) to designate Pakistan’s Jaish-e-Mohammed's chief Masood Azhar as a "global terrorist". India termed the move of China’s putting a technical hold on the proposal as “disappointing”.
The proposal was moved by P3 countries (France, United Kingdom and United States) on February 27, 2019 to the 1267 Al-Qaida Sanctions Committee of the UN Security Council in wake of Pulwama terror attack by Pakistan-based terror group JeM that killed over 40 CRPF personnel in India.
India, US to set up six nuclear power plants in India
India and the United States have agreed to build six American nuclear power plants in India, in an effort to boost bilateral civil nuclear energy cooperation.
The two nations made the announcement through a joint statement issued at the conclusion of the 9th round of India-US Strategic Security Dialogue, held in Washington DC on March 13, 2019. The dialogue was co-chaired by Foreign Secretary Vijay Gokhale, who had led the Indian delegation and Andrea Thompson, the US under secretary of state for arms control and international security.
