Vikram lander successfully separates from Chandrayaan-2 orbiter
Chandrayaan-2: The Vikram Lander successfully separated from Chandrayaan-2 Orbiter at 1.15 pm IST on September 2, 2019. The Vikram Lander is currently located in an orbit of 119 km x 127 km. The Lander will now begin de-orbiting on September 3 to begin its preparations for the historic moon landing. Chandrayaan-2 is just a week away from its much-awaited landing on the darker side of the moon.

India accepts Pakistan’s offer of consular access to Kulbhushan Jadhav
India has accepted Pakistan’s offer of consular access to Kulbhushan Jadhav. The meeting is expected to be held on September 2, 2019. Pakistan’s surprise offer to India comes at a time when tensions are high between the two countries over the Kashmir issue.
