German automaker Volkswagen on 12 August 2010 launched the new Polo sedan – the Vento. There would be two petrol variants- top-end automatic and higher-end manual transmission variant. The two diesel variant would be available only with manual transmissions. The Vento would have competition from the Honda City, Ford Fiesta, Fiat Linea, Maruti Suzuki SX4 and the Hyundai Verna.
