Indian industrialist and philanthropist Ratan Tata passed away at 86 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. His passing has deeply saddened the nation, with tributes pouring in from politicians, actors, and the general public. 

To honor public sentiment, Tata company officials have announced that the public can pay their last respects to Ratan Tata today. The last remains of him will be kept at National Centre for Performing Arts (NCPA) in south Mumbai.

Where You Can Pay Homage to Ratan Tata?

The mortal remains of Ratan Tata will be kept at the National Centre for Performing Arts (NCPA) in south Mumbai. People can pay their final respects to the industrialist from 10 am to 3.30 pm on October 10.

The statement released by the company said, "We will request the members of the public to enter NCPA Lawns from Gate 3 and the exit will be at Gate 2. There will be no parking available at the premises.” 

Ratan Tata’s Last Journey at 4 PM

The mortal remains will be taken on their last journey at 4 PM, as per a statement released by Tata Trust.

“At 4 PM, the mortal remains will embark on its final journey to the Prayer Hall at the Worli Crematorium, Dr E Moses Road, Worli for the final rites."

Later in the day, his final ceremonies will take place in Mumbai's Worli neighborhood. Abhinav Deshmukh, the Additional Commissioner for the Mumbai South Region, stated that all necessary police measures will be taken.

Ratan Tata to Receive Full State Honors at Final Ceremony

According to Eknath Shinde, the chief minister of Maharashtra, the final ceremonies will be carried out with full state honors.

The public has been told by the chief minister's office of Maharashtra that the government has observed a single day of mourning following the passing of Ratan Tata. There won't be any state festivities today in the state.
