World Badminton championships 2014

World Badminton Championships was held in Copenhagen, Denmark from 25 - 31 August 2014. China topped the Championship with a total of 7 medals which includes 3 Gold, 3 Silver and Bronze medal. South Korea and Spain occupied second and third place respectively.

About World Badminton championships
• The World Badminton championship was first held in 1977 for every two years once, since 2003 it is held every year.
• It contains individuals in five events, Men’s singles, Women’s singles, Men’s and Women’s doubles and Mixed doubles.
• Denmark has hosted the World Badminton Championship event thrice in 1983, 1991 and 1999 in Copenhagen.
