Changing Address on Voter ID Card
- Visit the electoral office or the official website of the Voters Service Portal. We are linking it here: https://voters.eci.gov.in/
- Fill out the Form 8. It allows you to make changes to your voter ID card, including a change of address.
- Fill up the necessary details along with a valid address proof (utility bills, passport, driver's licence, Aadhaar card, bank passbook), or attach a copy of the required documents, if you are submitting a hard copy.
- Once you have filled in the necessary details, click on the submit button. Or you can submit the documents to the electoral office.
- After careful submission, you will receive a reference number for tracking your application.
- Your application will undergo a careful verification process by EC officers.
- Upon successful verification, you will receive a notification.
- Your voter ID card is now updated with the changed address. You can download it digitally or collect a physical copy from the electoral office.
