The Mumbai Indians (MI) have made strategic moves to strengthen their squad for the 2025 IPL season. They secured a mix of experienced players and fresh talent during the IPL auction in Jeddah held on November 24, 2024.
The most notable acquisition was the return of Trent Boult, who was bought for a whopping Rs 12.5 crore. Additionally, this five-time champion league added three more players to their roster.
Naman Dhir, who impressed with a striking debut in 2024, was secured for Rs 5.25 crore after a fierce bidding war, with the franchise utilising their Right to Match (RTM) card to retain him.
Robin Minz, the first tribal player in IPL history, joined MI for Rs 65 lakh. Minz, previously with the Gujarat Titans, had missed the 2024 season due to an injury but promises to be a valuable addition.
To further reinforce their spin department, MI signed seasoned bowler Karn Sharma for Rs 50 lakh. With these acquisitions, MI aims to build a balanced squad, looking to reclaim their spot at the top of the IPL standings in 2025.
