If we talk about the least-educated state of India, then it is Bihar state. Talking about the literacy rate here, in the year 2011, a 61.8 percent literacy rate was recorded here. Out of this, the literacy rate of men was 71.20 percent and that of women was 51.50 percent. This was recorded less than the national average, which was 74.04 percent. Rohtas is the most educated district here, where more than 75 percent of the people are literate.
India's second least-educated state
Talking about the second least-educated state of India, it is Arunachal Pradesh. In the year 2011, the literacy rate here was recorded at 65.3 percent. Here, 72 percent of men and 57 percent of women were recorded as literate.
India's third least-educated state
Talking about the third least-educated state of India, it is Rajasthan. In 2011, the literacy rate here was recorded at 66.1 percent. In this, the number of literate men was 80.51 percent, while if we talk about the literacy record of women, it was recorded at 52.66 percent.
Jalore district is the district with the lowest literacy. Talking about the total literacy rate here, 54.9 percent literacy was recorded here. Jhunjhunu district is the district with the highest male literacy rate (86.9 percent).
