Delhi Government is set to provide IAS coaching for students. The coaching will be provided to IAS aspirants in Urdu. As per an official statement released, the government has taken this step in order to popularize the language as a mean of building a career.
The statement released has stated that on Monday the Deputy CM and the Minister of Art, Culture, and Languages Manish Sisodia interacted with the toppers in the Urdu language who come from different universities in Delhi at an event conducted recently. Students who excelled in the field of Urdu were awarded at the ceremony.
Dignitaries including Urdu Academy Vice-Chairman Professor Shehpar Rasool will also present at the event. The students belonged institutions including Jamia Millia Islamia, Jawahar Lal Nehru District Institute of Education and Training and Maharishi Valmiki College of Education.
Sisodia, while speaking at the event stated that the Urdu Academy must start providing coaching in the candidates interested in appearing for the IAS examination. He also added that the study material in Urdu will also be accessible to the students who wish to appear for the examination in the language. Sisodia also said that English and Hindi are treated as a standard language of teaching and study and Urdu will soon be treated at par with the former two languages.
