Delhi Schools of Specialised Excellence Application Begins at edudel.nic.in, Check Guidelines Here

DBSE Admission 2021: As per the updates, Delhi Schools of Specialised Excellence have started the application process today, on 12th August for admission. Students interested to take admission to the SoSEs affiliated to the Delhi Board of School Education (DBSE) can apply online. They need to visit the official website - edudel.nic.in for registration. The last date to submit the Delhi SoSEs admission application is 19th August. For now, Delhi Schools of Specialised Excellence cover classes from 9th to 12th. In Delhi SoSEs students can specialise in the field of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), Performing and Visual Arts, Humanities and high-end 21st-century skills. 

Under these schools, students will get a platform to explore their talent and excel in areas of their interests. The information released by the authority on the official website also states that Delhi SoSEs will release a merit list by end of August followed by allocation of school campus and admissions. 

Delhi SoSEs Admission 2021: Eligibility Criteria

As per the released eligibility criteria, the Delhi government or recognised schools’ students with valid residence proof are eligible to apply. Also, for class 11 admission, students must have qualified class 10th with a minimum 75% aggregate (Best of 5 including Mathematics and Science). Whereas for admission to class 9th students must have passed in class 8th with a minimum 60% aggregate. Those belonging to reserved categories shall be liable for a relaxation of 5% marks.

Delhi SoSEs Admission 2021: Important Guidelines 

• The admission will be based on the aptitude test slated to be held at these 20 or its nearby schools between 23rd and 29th August 2021.
• For Class 9, admission is open in all four types of SoSEs. For STEM SoSE, admission will also be offered to class 11 students.
• As per the criteria set by the government, 50% of seats in each SoSE are reserved for the students of government schools. Rest will be available for students studying in any school in Delhi.
• Age-related eligibility and reservation for admission to these schools will be as per norms issued by the Directorate of Education, Government of Delhi.
