Gauhati University PG Admission 2020: The Gauhati University administration has decided to cancel entrance exams for the PG 2020 admissions. In a meeting conducted recently, the admission committee decided that the Common Entrance Test for PG admission 2020 along admission fees of various postgraduate courses of University departments as well as colleges affiliated will also be waived-off. The varsity administration has decided that admission to PG courses 2020 in Gauhati University will be on the basis of the performance in the qualifying exams, according to the official notification.

The Gauhati University has said in the official notification that it will begin the online admission process from 15th July 2020 5 PM onwards. The official notification reads that the GU PG application process 2020 will be conducted in the online mode on the official website. Candidates interested to apply for Gauhati University PG admission 2020 will be required to register online for the course they wish to apply and pay an application fee of Rs. 250. The official notification released by Gauhati University also read that 10 per cent supernumerary seats will be reserved for students applying under Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) category. Also., admission to traditional program in PG 2020 will have 80 percent seats reserved for students from Gauhati University.

The Gauhati University had the practice of conducting common entrance test for admissions to all post graduate courses offered by the University. The GU PG entrance test were usually held between last week of June and first week of July. This year, however, the entrance test has been cancelled owing to the COVID-19 pandemic.
