
According to media reports, the Gujarat University has reserved close top 10 percent seats under the Arts, Commerce and Science Stream for the CBSE and ICSE students for the 2020-21 admission session.
Due to the pandemic situation, the academic schedule has been affected by the different universities in the country. Gujarat University has however begun the admission process for the convenience of the students from the CBSE and ICSE boards who have received their results recently.
Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the admission process for the Gujarat University admissions has been shifted in the online mode and the university has further decided to begin the PIN distribution and online registration from August 20, 2020.
According to Gujarat University admission guidelines, 90 percent seats are reserved for the students of the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board while the remaining 10 percent seats are reserved for the students from other boards including CBSE and ICSE boards.
According to media reports close to 4100 seats are reserved for five courses which include Commerce for the CBSE and other boards while 6000 seats are reserved for the Science and Arts Course.
The admissions for the Gujarat board students for the Undergraduate programmes have already commenced although the admissions were delayed due to the pandemic but will be assumed soon.
With the results of the CBSE board announced the online registrations for the Gujarat Board students will begin from July 27 to 31, 2020. Media reports also state that the online PIN distribution will continue until July 30, 2020, while the dates of the registration will be conducted by July 31, 2020.
