Opt Out Option Given by ICAI

Earlier, the petition had also demanded an opt-out option for candidates who didn’t want to appear for the July Attempt of the CA Exam, but the same has now been provided the Institute of Chartered Accountants if India (ICAI). The ICAI CA foundation exams are scheduled to begin on 24th July and CA Inter exams will take place between 6th and 20th July. CA Final exams are scheduled for 5th to 19th July.

Number of Exam Centres to be Increased

With the ICAI announcing opt out facility for registered students, now candidates who are not ready to appear for the July attempt of the CA Exams 2021 will be allowed to opt out of the same. However, along with this the petition filed by Advocate Anubha Shrivastava Sahai also seeks directions from the court to the Institute to setup more exam centres. The petition demands that there should be at-least one examination centre for CA July 2021 exams in each district across the country. Moreover, the petition also demands that all COVID-19 guidelines and protocols should be followed by the institute and if they are violated, the institute should take-up complete responsibility for the same. Apart from this, the petition also demands that a few stand-by exam centres should also be appointed which can be put to use if the earlier designated exam centre falls in containment zone.
