Delhi Technological University will be launching a ‘Lab on Wheels’ for the students studying in Delhi schools. The project has been launched with an aim to educate the students in the rural areas of the state. The vehicle will have 17 computers, 2 televisions, one 3D printer, Air Conditioner, Surveillance Cameras, and printers. The vehicle will be launched by Delhi Deputy CM and Education Minister Manish Sisodia on April 6, 2021.
As per reports, the mobile lab will be taken to several schools allowing the students and teachers to benefit from the facilities provided. The vehicle will also be taken to educational institutions and other places associated with imparting education to the students.
Initiative to serve humanity
Professor Yogesh Singh - Delhi Technological University Vice-Chancellor, while speaking about the initiative stated that the university is launching the ‘Lab on Wheels- Delhi Technical University with an aim to serve humanity under the ‘ Digital Village-Literate India’
Volunteers from DTU will provide tutorials, study tours, and lectures to the students along with assisting underprivileged students across Delhi to get access to education and related services. DTU will also collaborate with the state government to improve the status of School education along with higher education in Delhi.
Delhi Technical University had earlier collaborated with Samsung India to set up a Samsung Innovation Lab focusing on collaborative research and training.
