The Maharashtra University of Health Sciences has decided that the 123 centres for the upcoming winter exam will have CCTV cameras and its recordings will be preserved, said officials.

More than 51,000 students of various health science courses in the state will appear for their winter theory exam. The exam is scheduled to start from November 27. The main motive behind placing CCTV cameras is to curb cheating and other unfair practices.

The university has also introduced a strict dress code for the candidates. Along the lines of the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test, the concept of a central room to keep all belongings of examinees will be implemented.

The students wearing scarf or burkha will be checked prominently. Only female supervisors can check female students.
