The National Talent Search Examinations are scheduled to be conducted on December 12, 2020, and as per media reports, the question paper will be based on the full syllabus of class 9 and the new reduced syllabus of class 10 for this academic year. The examinations will be conducted by the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education based on the NCERT guidelines.
NTSE Class 10 Exams Official Notification
According to Board chairman DP Jalori the new reduced syllabus for the class 10 students has been designed keeping in mind that the basic principles and theories will remain in the syllabus, the students in class 10 this year can apply for the NTSE exams through their respective schools. The schools are required to file the applications on the official website of NTSE.
NTSE Eligibility Criteria
According to the notification provided on the official website, all the students studying in class 10 from recognized schools are eligible to appear for the NTSE Stage 1 Examinations to be conducted in states and union territories. The students who have been registered under the Open distance Learning are also eligible for the scholarships provided that the students are attempting the class 10 exams for the first time.
Examination pattern
The NTSE Stage 1 Exams will contain 2 papers. Paper 1 will test the Mental Ability of the students consisting of a total of 100 questions while paper 2 will be a Scholastic Aptitude Test containing 100 questions. Each paper will be conducted for a duration of 120 minutes. Students appearing for the exams must also note that stage 2 of the exams will not contain any negative marking. Indian students studying abroad are eligible to appear for Stage 2 of the examinations directly.
