Science Olympiad Foundation exams to be conducted online due to COVID-19

According to media reports, the Olympiad exams will be conducted in the online mode in the current academic year keeping in mind the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the safety and health of the students appearing for the exams. As per the notification provided on the official website the Roll numbers, guidelines, link for exams, etc will be sent to the students directly at the mobile numbers shared during the registration process. According to media reports, the students will be able to appear for the SOF Olympiad exams from the comfort of their home itself. 

SOF Examinations

The Science Olympiad Foundation will conduct four Olympiad exams including the SOF International General Knowledge Olympiad, SOF International English Olympiad, SOF National Science Olympiad, and SOF International Mathematics Olympiad. 

Online Exams

Science Olympiad Foundation Director Mahabir Singh while addressing the media stated that the extensive use of Artificial Intelligence, Remote Proctoring, Video Recording of exams, and other different tools will be used to ensure the integrity of the examinations are maintained. The Awards, Prizes, and Scholarships will be awarded to the winning students from each class and the schools at both state and international level.

Registration Details

The link to complete the registrations for the Science Olympiad examinations will be available on the official website 15 days prior to the date of each examination. Students can visit the official website - sofworld.org for further details related to the SOF examinations. 

While filling the online registration and application for the Science Olympiad Examinations students are advised to ensure that all the information filled is accurate and complete. It has also been stated that the schools coordinating teachers are required to dill the School Registration Form and the Student Registration Sheet according to the guidelines provided and send the same to the SOF office before the due date of the submissions.

The applicant schools and students will be registered by the SOF as per the SRS received from the schools following which the roll numbers for all the students will be generated.
