Q: I have taken 6 subjects in my class 12th exam but am not confident about my readiness for taking exam in biology. Can I, instead of writing the paper, not appear in the exam at all as I don't want to be declared fail?
A: Are you sure about your preparation for the rest of the 5 subjects and confident that you won’t flunk in any of these. If yes, you can skip your biology paper and as a candidate you will be declared pass if you pass in any 5 subjects with atleast 33% marks in each subject. However, it is suggested that you appear in biology paper too as the marks of best 5 subjects are shown and thus you won’t be declared fail.
