BEL Project Engineer Posts Eligibility and Age Limit

The eligibility criteria and age limit have been released by the examination authority. Candidates can refer to the official notification for details.

Educational Qualification: The candidate should have completed B.E/B.Tech (4 year course) Engineering degree in Computer Science from a recognised university/Institution/College with 55% & above for GEN/EWS/OBC candidates and a Pass Class for SC/ST/PwBD Candidates

Work Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in C++, Java, SW Testing, SW Documentation Python, etc.

Age Limit: The maximum age of the candidate as of the should not be more than 32 years as on January 1, 2024. However, a relaxation in age will be given to reserved category candidates.

BEL Project Engineer Selection Procedure

The candidate will be selected based on their performance in the written exam and interview. 85% of the marks will be allotted for the written exam and 15% for the interview. Candidates who pass the written exam will be shortlisted for interviews in the ratio of 1:5.

BEL Project Engineer Salary

The selected candidates will be engaged as project engineers for a period of three years, which may be extended up to a maximum of four years (including the initial period) based on the project requirements and the individual’s performance. Additionally, candidates will get 10% of consolidated remuneration (per month) as area allowance and  Rs 12000 per year towards insurance premiums, attire allowance, stitching charges, footwear allowance, etc.
