Eligibility Conditions for Recruitment in BSF

• Educational Qualification

a)      Inspector (Architect): Degree in Architecture from a recognised University/ Institution

b)      Sub-Inspector / JE (Civil): Minimum three years of Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognised Institution/ University

c)      Sub-Inspector / JE (Electrical): Minimum three years of Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognised Institution/ University

• Age Limit

a)      Inspector (Architect): Minimum 20 years; Maximum 25 years

b)      Sub-Inspector / JE (Civil): Minimum 18 years; Maximum 25 years

c)      Sub-Inspector / JE (Electrical): Minimum 18 years; Maximum 25 years

• Physical Standards

a)      Inspector (Architect): Height: 167.5 cms; Chest: 81 cms (86 cms after expansion); Weight: Corresponding to Height

b)      Sub-Inspector / JE (Civil): Height: 165 cms; Chest: 76-81 cms; Weight: Corresponding to Height

c)      Sub-Inspector / JE (Electrical): Height: 165 cms; Chest: 76-81 cms; Weight: Corresponding to Height

Pay Band for the designated Posts in BSF

• Inspector (Architect): Rs 9300- 34800 + 4600 Grade Pay
• Sub-Inspector / JE (Civil): Rs 9300- 34800 + 4200 Grade Pay
• Sub-Inspector / JE (Electrical): Rs 9300- 34800 + 4200 Grade Pay

Selection Procedure for Recruitment in BSF

The candidates will be selected on the basis of the steps mentioned below

• Written Examination

• Physical Measurement
• Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
• Trade Test (For Inspector Architect post)
• Interview
• Medical Examination
