♦ Avoids repetition of ideas and sentences [0.50 marks]
♦ Supports the main idea with appropriate data, accurate details, arguments and counter‐arguments [1 mark]
♦ Uses appropriate vocabulary that is relevant to the context [0.50 marks]
♦ Fulfills the word count requirement [0.50 marks]
Organisation
♦ Includes all aspects for the format of an article (heading, byline, and body of
the article) [0.50 marks]
♦ Organises the article to present an introduction, body, and conclusion along
with a smooth transition of ideas [0.50 marks]
Language Mechanics
♦ Uses correct grammar, spelling and other language mechanics
