From here students can download the latest syllabus of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) elective subject. The course aims at providing civic responsibility and dynamic leadership traits among young students. CBSE Class 9 N.C.C. Syllabus 2026-27: Syllabus Update
CBSE has not introduced any significant change in the N.C.C. syllabus for the 2026–27 academic session. National Cadet Corps (Subject Code 076) syllabus retains its core elements, aligning with competency-based questions. The focus is to promote critical and real-life skills so that students can practice them in real-life situations. While also building national integration, leadership, and service.
CBSE Class 9 N.C.C. Syllabus (2026–27)
The syllabus is divided into nine units, offering detailed chapters on aims and objectives of NCC, civil affairs, drills, weapon training, personal development, and health and hygiene. CBSE Class 9 N.C.C. Paper Structure 2026-27
The CBSE Class 9 NCC follows a basic paper structure for 2026-27. To understand it in detail, students can refer to the sample paper and previous year's's question papers available for download from the official website. The exam duration is 3 hours, while the NCC paper carries 70 marks. From below, students can find an outline of the paper for reference:
1. The question paper consists of two parts i.e. PART-I (49 marks) and PART-II (21marks).
2. Part I is compulsory for all and it comprises of Section-A, Section-B and Section-C.
3. Part-II shall be attempted as per the chosen wing and it comprises of Section-D,SectionE and Section-F.
4. The paper consists of 01, 02, 04 and 06 mark(s) questions.
5. The answer to the 01 mark question is based on MCQ.
6. The answer to the 02 mark question should not exceed 35 words.
7. The answer to the 04 mark question should not exceed 80 words.
8. The answer to the 06 mark question should not exceed 150 words.
