CBSE Re-evaluation Processes: Dates Extended for Obtaining Photocopy of Evaluated Answer Sheets

    The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has extended the last date for obtaining the photocopy of evaluated answer sheet(s) for the candidates who appeared under class 10 and class 12 board examinations 2018.

    Revised dates for the process of obtaining the photocopy of evaluated answer sheet(s) are given below

    The process of verification of marks has already been concluded.  Only those candidates who have applied for verification of marks will be eligible to apply for obtaining photocopy of answer book. After obtaining the photocopy, the students, if not convinced, can still request for re-evaluation of answer sheet by applying online.

    The three-step re-evaluation process started from 1 June, 2018.

    Read below the details to apply for each step:

    1. Verification of Marks

    • Candidates who wish their board results to be verified may apply online on CBSE’s website www.cbse.nic.
    • The verification window is open from 1 June to 5 June.
    • The verification charges are Rs 500 per subject for both class 10 and class 12.
    • Fees can be deposited through payment gateway (Credit/Debit card/Net banking/International card in case the candidate applying from outside India) only.
    • The last date for the payment of fees is 7 June, 2018.
    • The result of verification will be uploaded on the website of CBSE. However, any change in marks will be notified by sending a formal to the applicant by speed post through concerned regional office of CBSE.
    • After applying for marks verification, applicants should keep a regular check of the CBSE’s website to know the status of verification request.

    2. Obtaining Photocopy of Evaluated Answer Sheets

    • The online application for obtaining photocopy of the evaluated answer sheets can be filed from CBSE’s website.
    • Students may apply between 15-17 June.
    • The application charges are Rs. 500/- per subject for class 10 and Rs. 700/- per subject for class 12.
    • Fees can be deposited through payment gateway (Credit/Debit card/Net banking/International card in case the candidate applying from outside India) only.
    • The last date for the payment of fees for both 10th and 12th classes is 19 June, 2018.
    • Only those candidates who have applied for obtaining photocopy of the evaluated answer book shall be eligible to apply for re-evaluation or challenge the marks awarded to any question(s).

    Step 3: Re-Evaluation

    • Request for re-evaluation can be made only for theory portion.
    • Re-evaluation fee is Rs. 100/- per question for both class 10 and class 12.
    • The last date for the payment of fees is 25 June, 2018
    • The applicant are suggested to refer to the marking scheme for the subject concerned which would be available on the CBSE’s website along with the question paper for the same.
    • Application for re-evaluation in the required question(s) must be submitted with valid reason.
    • In cases where marks are increased or decreased a fresh marks statement shall be issued to such candidates after surrendering the old Marks Statement by the candidate(s) concerned.
    • The status of re-evaluation shall be uploaded on the website for the subject and question (s) for which applied for.
    •  In case of any alteration in marks, candidate will be notified by sending a formal letter sent by speed post through concerned regional office of CBSE.
    • Students may apply between 21-22 June.

    In any of the all three processes, fees once deposited shall not be refunded in any case.
