Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) has recently gone online and to give more breathers to students from various backgrounds the examination would now have questions in Hindi as well. According to a decision taken by Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia National Law University, the CLAT question paper would now be in Hindi language as well, along with its previous English language one. This would help candidates to answer in their own preferred language. The recommendation is now in wait of the core committee which would have vice-chancellors from all National Law Universities, and their consent.
From now onwards, CLAT would be hosted at four examination centres this year in Uttar Pradesh from only one centre that used to take place in Lucknow. This year Varanasi, Allahabad and Gorakhpur would also get added to the list of examination centres easing it for the students to come in large numbers for the examination. Those students who belong to Haryana would no longer need to go to any other state in order to give their examinations, as Kurukshetra would be added as an examination centre for CLAT examination. Students from North East could take part in the examination held at the Shillong centre. In Jammu and Kashmir, Srinagar has been chosen as the exam center apart from previously selected Jammu. With increasing number of centres the applications are expected to rise and cross the 40,000 mark this year.
