Common Written Examination (CWE) for Recruitment as Probationary Officer/ Management Trainee

The system of Common Written Examination has been approved by each of the 19 participating Public Sector Banks and the Indian Banks’ Association (IBA) with the consent of Government of India. The written examination for this exam will be conducted by Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) on 18 September 2011.

The Common Written Examination or CWE will be held for the recruitment of Probationary Officers/ Management Trainees posts twice a year. The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has been authorised by Indian Banks’ Association and has received mandates to conduct these exams.

The online registration for these exams will start from 9 July 2011 and end on 1 August 2011. Successful candidates in the CWE will be issued scorecards and may apply to any of the participating banks they wish to by quoting their personal details and their CWE scores, subject to meeting with eligibility criteria as and when individual banks call for applications.
