Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University, Srikakulam was established by Andhra Pradesh State Government with an objective to augment the education facilities in the Srikakulam District in the state, as well as to cater to the educational needs of the deprived people of the district. Currently, the campus offers 12 Post Graduate courses to meet the higher education requirements of 802 PG students and 27 research scholars enrolled in M. Phil. and Ph.D. programs. The education system of university is backed up by 59 faculty members --22 regular teachers, and 37 teaching associates-- and 72 non-teaching staff members.
