Institute of Banking and Personnel Selection (IBPS) is all set to conduct Written Examination for recruitment of Specialist Officers in public sector banks. The candidates qualified in written examination will be called for common interview. On the basis of performance of written examination and interview, the candidates will be listed in order of their merit. Depending on the vacancies in each bank of his/her preference, candidates will receive through a computerised system an offer from Participating Public Sector Banks.

English Language: Tips

English Language is one of the most scoring sections in IBPS Specialist Officers Exam 2015, which requires superior grasp over English grammar and language. To score well in this section, the candidates are required to strengthen their vocabulary power as well as they should be very clear and precise in grammatical concepts. This section generally includes Passage Based questions, Common Error in Sentence, Rapid Fillers, Close Test, Antonyms, and Synonyms etc.

Quantitative Aptitude: Tips

For solving the questions of Quantitative Aptitude, the candidate should have knowledge of all required basic concepts needed for the topics included in the exam. The clarity in basic concepts will directly drive the candidates to the right option. Apart from this, speed is the foremost requirement for the section. And most important, do not avoid any type of question, not even consider any type insignificant as you never know which question type would catch highlight in this section. The questions in this section are generally from the topics of Number System, Ratios, Profit-Loss and Discount, Percentage, Average, Data Interpretation, Time and Work etc. The State Bank of India lays emphasis on Data Interpretation Questions. Hence, the focus should be laid on Data Interpretation Questions. 

Reasoning Aptitude: Tips

For preparation of Reasoning Section, one should require mental alertness and logical skills. To be an expertise in this section, candidate should understand the nature of questions by practicing similar questions from model papers and previous year exam papers. The questions in this section are included from topics from Verbal and Non Verbal Reasoning including topics- Analogy, Input-Output, Classification, Syllogism, Inferences etc.

Professional Knowledge: Tips

Professional Knowledge section might be your comfort zone as in this section related to your stream or specialization will be asked. So, you must have been clear on the basic concepts of your subject if you want to do well in this section. Start preparing accordingly.
