Indian Air Force invited applications for AFCAT 2016 for commissioning of officers on the Short commission and Permanent commission in Indian Air force’s Flying Branch, Technical Branch, and Ground Duty Branches. The candidates eligible for the posts can apply online through the prescribed format on or before 30 June 2016. AFCAT will be conducted on 28 August 2016.

Under Indian Air Force Recruitment 2016, there are vacancies under Flying Branch (Short Service Commission for men & women), Technical Branch (Permanent Commission for men) (Short Service Commission for men & women) and Ground Duty Branches (Permanent Commission for men) (Short Service Commission for men & women).

Eligibility for Flying Branch: candidate should be a Graduate in any discipline from a recognised university with Mathematics and Physics at 10+2 level with minimum 60% or equivalent, or B.E, B.Tech, alternatively, A & B examination of Associate Membership Institute of engineers or Aeronautical Society of India with minimum 60%. Candidate should posses minimum required Physical and Medical Standard.

Eligibility for Technical Branch: candidate should have completed 10+2 with Mathematics and Physics in 60 % in each Subject and Aggregate with minimum 04 years graduation /integrated Post graduation qualification in Engineering /technology alternatively, A & B examination of Associate Membership Institute of engineers or Aeronautical Society of India with minimum 60% in concerned discipline. Candidate should posses minimum required Physical and Medical Standard.

Eligibility for Ground Duty Branches:

Administration & Logistics

candidate should have completed Graduation in nay discipline with minimum 60% from a recognised university alternatively, A & B examination of Associate Membership Institute of engineers or Aeronautical Society of India with minimum 60%.

Accounts

Candidate should have completed B.Com with minimum 60% from a recognised university.

Education

Candidate should have completed MBA/MCA/MA/M.SC degree in English/Physics/Mathematics/Chemistry/statistics/international relations/international studies/mass communication/journalism with minimum 50% in aggregate in post graduation and 60 % at Graduation level.

Selection Procedure:

Candidates satisfying eligibility criteria will be called for the AFCAT to be conducted on 28 August 2016.The candidates shortlisted based on the AFCAT, will be called for Further Examination and Testing. Testing will consist of three stages, Stage-I (Intelligence test) and Stage-II (Psychological Test, Group Test, and Interview.
