Indian Air Force Recruitment of Candidates as Airman 2011

Indian Air Force invites application from UNMARRIED male candidates for selection test in November 2011 to join as Airman in Group ‘X' (Technical Trades) grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) in the Indian Air Force.

• Selection test date: November 2011

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Applicant should have passed Intermediate or 10+2 with pass marks in Mathematics and Physics with a minimum of 50% marks in overall aggregate OR

Should have passed a 3 year diploma course in Engineering (Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Automobile/ Computer Science/ Instrumentation/ Information Technology) with at least 50% marks from a government recognised institute.

Age limit: Born between 1 January 1991 and 28 February 1995 (both dates inclusive)

Selection Procedure

Candidates will be selected on the basis of following selection procedure.

• Written Test
• Physical Fitness Test (PFT)
• Interview
• Trade Allocation Test (TAT)
• Medical Examination

How to Apply

Apply on plain A4 size paper only with the following set of documents to be sent along with the application.

• 3 copies of unattested recent (taken on or after 16 July 2011) passport size Colour Photograph (front portrait without headgear except for Sikhs), ONE of which is to be pasted on the application form and the other two are to be stapled to the top left corner of the application form.
• The photograph is to be taken with candidate holding a black slate in front of his chest with his name, date of birth and date of photograph clearly written on it with white Chalk in capital letters. (Six photographs will be required during test).
• Attested copies of Matriculation Certificate in support of Date of Birth. Attested copies of Marks Sheet & Certificates of Educational Qualification i.e. Intermediate or 10+2 (in single copy).
• One unstamped self addressed 24 cm x 10 cm WHITE ENVELOPE of good quality, stapled/pinned with the application form.
