Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force is recruiting for the post of Assistant Sub- Inspector (Stenographer) in the year 2011. Read on to find all the information required for applying for this post

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Educational Qualification

    a) Intermediate or Senior Secondary School Certificate (10+2) examination from a recognised board or university or equivalent.

    b) Diction- 10 minutes @ 80 words per minute; Transcription- 50 minutes (English) on computer or 65 minutes (Hindi) on computer

    c) Basic knowledge of computer application

Age limit: Between 18 and 25 Years. Cut-off date for determining the age will be 25 July 2011

Pay scale: Pay Band 1, Rs 5200 – 20, 200 + Grade Pay Rs 2,800 per month. 

Application Fee: No application fee will be charged from SC/ ST/ Female candidate and fee for General and OBC candidate is Rs 50. Candidates need to send application fee in the form of Central Recruitment Fee Stamp (CRFS)/IPO/Bank Draft in favour of “Inspector General (Special) Frontier, ITBP, West Block, Wing-2, Sector-1, RK Puram, New Delhi- 110066 payable at SBI, RK Puram, New Delhi (Bank Code-1076)”.

Selection Procedure

The candidate’s overall performance will be judged for final recruitment. The candidates will have to undergo the following recruitment tests.

  1. Height Bar
  2. Race
  3. Checking of documents
  4. Physical Standard Test (PST)
  5. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
  6. Written exam (100 marks)

    a) General English (objective type) (20 marks)

    b) General Hindi (objective type) (20 marks)

    c) General Awareness (objective type/ bilingual) (20 marks)

    d) Quantitative Aptitude Test (objective type/ bilingual) (20 marks)

    e) Simple Reasoning (objective type/ bilingual) (20 marks)
  7. Skill Test (100 marks)
  8. Merit List
  9. Detailed Medical Examination (DME)

How to Apply

Eligible and interested candidates should send their Applications (duly filled in Hindi or English only) complete in all respects and Candidate’s duly filled Admit Card. The application should either be type written or neatly hand written on one side only on full size plain paper with passport size photographs affixed on application/admit card (duly attested by Gazetted  Officer) along with application fee to the INSPECTOR GENERAL (SPECIAL) FRONTIER, ITBP, WEST BLOCK, WING-2, SECTOR-1, RK PURAM, NEW DELHI-110066, on or before the prescribed last date i.e. 25 July 2011 for all States except for Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, and Ladakh Division of Jammu & Kashmir State, Lahaul-Spiti District and Pangi Sub-Division of Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman & Nicobar Islands  and Lakshadweep.

Envelope containing Application must be super scribed in bold letters “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF ASSISTANT SUB- INSPECTOR (STENOGRAPHER) IN ITBP”.
